Kitchen
The kitchen is where deposits are most often lost. Grease and buildup hide in places you stopped noticing months ago.
- Clean inside and outside the oven, stovetop, and range hood
- Empty and wipe inside the refrigerator and freezer; pull it out to clean behind if you can
- Degrease backsplash, cabinet fronts, and the wall behind the stove
- Scrub the sink and faucet; clear the drain
- Wipe inside every cabinet and drawer
Bathrooms
Bathrooms are inspected closely for mildew, hard-water stains, and soap buildup.
- Descale and scrub the tub, shower, and tile grout
- Clean the toilet thoroughly, including the base and behind it
- Polish the mirror, sink, and any chrome fixtures

- Oven, fridge, and bathroom condition (the three biggest flags)
- Floors free of stains, dust, and debris
- Walls and trim without scuffs, holes, or sticky residue
- No lingering odors from pets, smoke, or trash
- Apartment fully empty, including closets and any storage
